Structure To Grading Video Interview Responses

When it comes to deciding on the right person to fill a vacancy, two heads are often better than one and three heads can be better than two. However, organising interviews so that two, three or more people are available at the same time is often a scheduling nightmare.
Interview Coordinator (www.interviewcoordinator.com) removes these scheduling headaches by allowing candidates to record video responses to a pre-defined set of online questions. This means that any number of campaign contributors can review the videos at their own convenience and provide valuable feedback to the hiring manager. But how structured is that feedback?
In a normal interview, questions are designed to allow the interviewer to judge one or more aspects of the candidates’ character or expertise. So in Interview Coordinator we have added the ability to link one or more questions to a specific ‘attribute’.
When contributors are reviewing the candidate videos, they are also shown which characteristic or skill (i.e. attribute) the question is designed to explore. They can then make specific attribute-related comments and enter a score to grade the candidate accordingly.
Interview Coordinator then allows the hiring manager to run a comprehensive report showing all contributor comments and scores for each attribute.
Stuart Hobbs, Managing Director comments: “Having a more structured approach to judging candidates will help you pick the best person for the job. And it will certainly make it a lot easier for hiring managers to compare and evaluate the opinions of multiple contributors“.
Interview Coordinator is a comprehensive online interview management and applicant tracking system. It is available through any browser on a “pay as you use” basis for £35 or less per campaign. The product is currently available on a 60 day FREE trial.
